the first work published by the bauhaus and that which preceded Bauhausbücher of 1925. It was issued for the Weimar Bauhaus exhibition of 1923 which was organized at the behest of the Thuringian Legislative Assembly. Gropius's theme for the show was "Art and Technics; A New Unity" which became the school's slogan, and it showcased the accomplishments of the Assembly's first four years.
