BECKMAN SWEDEN FOR REAL WINTERSPORTS. 1938.
39x24 1/2 inches. Ivar Haeggstroms, Stockholm.
Condition A-: minor creases and tears in margins; tape on verso. Paper.
A photographic, gray and white rendition of a husky, in a brown harness, standing on pale yellow slopes in front of brown skis and a yellow pole; blue and brown silhouettes skiing in the background. Published by the Swedish Traffic Association, it would seem that dog-sled racing and skiing are the winter sports which the hardy Swedes considered "real," Scottsmen, with their curling, might beg to differ. English version. Voyage p. 157.
