An abstract expressionist artist and political activist, Morea dropped out of the art scene in the mid to late 60s, disillusioned by "Pop Art's market ascendance." He left his burgeoning potential as an artist behind, as before he departed, his paintings appeared in group shows along with Louise Nevelson, Louise Burgeois and Ad Reinhardt.
