A rare 1950s portrait of Joyce, who was photographed by Abbott in Paris. Abbott was Man Ray's studio assistant from 1923-25, and subsequently opened her own portrait studio in 1927.

Accompanying the photograph is a copy of a letter that reads: "Abbott took the photograph originally in the 1920s. Subsequently, she made a few new prints in the late 1950s."
