Girk' Srboy Awetaranin Tear'n meroy ew P'rkch'in Hisusi K'ristosi. 35 (of ?) full-page woodcut illustrations, including repeats, some with the monogram of Grigor Marzwaneci in the block; woodcut zoomorphic initials and marginal ornaments throughout. 7-479 pages; lacks title and next 2 leaves. Small 4to, old calf, rubbed; marginal dampstaining and soiling through much of volume, woodcut marginal ornaments cropped, worming in upper margin of approximately 25 leaves toward end, partly repaired, minimally affecting headlines, dark stain on otherwise blank verso of last leaf, old scrawls and doodles on front and rear endleaves; institutional bookplate and card pocket. elaborately printed edition, with the Gospel text preceded by the Eusebian Canon Tables, and with numerous illustrations by Grigor Marzwaneci, "the first Armenian layman to make printing his sole profession and business. Besides being an expert printer, he was also a competent artist and engraver.
