The manuscript comprises the Hebrew text of excerpts from the Pentateuch, Judges, 1-2 Samuel, the Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Lamentations, and Habbakuk, written in unvocalized square script, with a table of contents in English and notes in the other languages mentioned above. Grey (1696-1771) was an Anglican clergyman and author. In addition to his 1730 mnemonic treatise Memoria technica, which was reprinted into the 19th century, he published works on Hebrew grammar and scholarly editions of portions of the Hebrew Bible. provenance: "The gift of Lloyd Dean of Norwich, to the Rev.
