The earliest Russian translation of the Bible, done into White Russian dialect by Franciscus Skorina from the Vulgate and the Slavonic version of the Septuagint. "His intention clearly was to translate the whole Bible, and he may have succeeded in doing so, but portions only of his version have survived to the present day" (Darlow & Moule).
