These pinup studies were possibly created for the March page of the advertising calender printed by the Kemper-Thomas Co., Cincinatti, Ohio. Each month features a model from a different nation. The caption on the March page reads: "You've heard of the Can Can in Gay Paree; So I'm sure you guessed it appeals to me; And that's the reason I stayed in those parts; I wanted to study their dancing arts."
