Additional Details

Handsomely bound copy of this edition of a popular poem on garden design first published in 1782, extolling the new approach to landscape gardening pioneered by William Kent. The floral border on the covers seems identical with that used on the turn-ins of the 1801 Oxford Homer in Hering bindings offered as item 187 in Maggs Bros. catalogue 212.
