Folio, elaborate "cuir ciselé" binding by charles meunier, of burgundy morocco over heavy bevelled boards, with detailed sculpted scene on polished leather panels of a voluptuous Eve dancing with serpent on front cover, the rear cover showing Cupid cranking a windmill, spine with gilt lettering, raised bands, and multi-color calf inlaid figure of a jester; turn-ins with large scrolling inlays of orange and brown morocco with repeated jester inlays at corners, iridescent silk endleaves; original iridescent pink wrappers bound in; all edges trimmed and gilt; morocco and marbled paper chemise and slipcase, edges of slipcase rubbed.
