The painter Loren Mac Iver and her partner, literary critic and scholar Lloyd Frankenberg, were among Bishop's closest and long-time friends. Mac Iver's maquette for the rear dust jacket panel design for this book is included, tipped to cardboard, with "Back of Jacket / Without title etc. on leaf" typed on verso, though with prominent glue stains visible on recto. A Typed Letter Signed to Lloyd with numerous pen corrrections in her hand is included, though not related to this work.
