This intimate drawing is an early and striking double portrait of one of the most famous saxophone pairings--John Coltrane and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. In 1958-59, they were part of the super group, the Miles Davis Sextet, that together recorded such albums as Milestones, Porgy and Bess and the legendary Kind of Blue.
