Woodcut historiated borders on titles; woodcut text illustrations, including numerous repeats. [6], 210, [1] (of [2]); [13] (of [14]), 187 [i. e., 185] leaves; lacks final blank in first volume and initial blank in second. 2 volumes in one. Folio, 256x176 mm, 20th-century gilt-panelled red morocco; occasional light toning, margins trimmed slightly entering title borders and some headlines, scattered minor stains and partly cropped marginalia, soiling and marginal dampstaining on opening leaves in first volume with title mounted, short repaired clean tear in 2F4, second leaf in first volume and last leaf in second volume restored in blank lower outer corner. Gilt stamp of Brent Gration-Maxfield on upper turn-in inside front cover, his pencil notes on facing free endpaper and verso of last leaf dated 1974.
