Bodine was the photographic director of the Baltimore Sun Magazine for his entire career--from 1920-1970 (the year of his death). He was awarded fellowships by the Photographic Society of America and the National Press Photographers Association, and published four books. The Baltimore Museum of Industry mounted an exhibition of his work in 2006.
