Album entitled "Palestine II," with 50 photographs of Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, as well as a few prints of Greece. Included are lovely views of Ephesus, Moab, Damascus, and Lydia, scenes of mercantile bazaars, plus ancient sites in Baalbek, views of Beyrouth [sic], remarkable portraits of Bedouin men and women, topographic sites and city views throughout Palestine, and picturesque depictions of Greek temples. Albumen prints, 8 3/4x11 inches (22.2x27.9 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso, with Bonfils' credit, inventory number and caption in the negative, and a handwritten caption, in English, on mount recto. Oblong folio, gilt-lettered leatherette, worn; contents loose. 1880s
