Additional Details

This object was gifted to the collector by her father, who was a Major in the Army Air Force in WWII and a decorated war veteran.


The plaque reads, "U.S.S. Akron World's Largest Airship. This frame is made of duralumin used in girder construction of the United States airship 'Akron' built by the Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation."
