Additional Details

first edition, a lofty sci-fi association copy, inscribed by bradbury to forrest ackerman and his wife, referencing bradbury's first appearance in print. The inscription, in full: "For Forrie & Wendy / With Happy Wishes / Always from / Ol' friend / R. Bradbury / Better known as / "Hollerbochen" / Jan. 1956." Bradbury's first published story was "Hollerbochen's Dilemma" (January 1938) in the fan magazine 'Imagination.' That same year, with the funding and encouragement of Ackerman, he began publishing his magazine Futuria Fantasia where he first made a name for himself, helped in no small part by his mentor, the man who coined the now famous term "Sci-Fi."
