Oblong folio, 305x445 mm, original pictorial masonite with suede backs and corners, Volume 4 spine darkened and partly discolored; conspicuous dampstain in lower margin of last several plates in Volume 4, vertical scratches in leather on Volume 5 front cover, light foxing in upper margin of first plate in Volume 9, tissue guards lacking in Volumes 10 and 11; all but the last volume in variously worn original(?) 2-part board boxes with handwritten paper labels.
