Silver print, the image measuring 11⅞x8¼ inches (30.2x21 cm.), the sheet 16x12 inches (40.6x30.5 cm.), with Brassaï's signature and edition notation 6/40 in ink on recto, and his copyright stamp, his Tirage de l'Auteur stamp, and the title, negative date, and numeric notation "A.1718" in ink, on verso.

Paris by Night and his portraits of personalities, Brassaï created a series of graffiti in the thirties which he exhibited for the first time at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1957.
