BRASSAÏ. Voluptés de Paris [Pleasures of Paris]. Illustrated with 44 reproductions of Brassaï's nocturnal photographs of Paris. 4to, orange printed wrappers lightly edgeworn; lacking spiral binding. first edition. (Paris): (Paris-Publications), [1935]

Additional Details

From the collection of Lee Marks.
Brassaï rarely acknowledged this book because of contractual disagreements. However, the volume contains the kind of images most often associated with him (and absent from "Paris de Nuit"). Brassaï''s Paris, one of prostitutes, gangsters and homosexual clubs, is also one of inky nights, glamour, and the spectator among the crowd. This copy contains more plates (44) than is standard (38).
