The Royal Scot making its run between Euston Station in London and Glasgow, Scotland. Originally introduced in 1927, a total of 71 Royal Scot Class engines were constructed, the most famous, perhaps, being 6100, which went on a publicity tour of America! Here the train is moving so fast on its tracks that it is impossible to make out the engine number on the train's front. Number 6100 was actually the Royal Scot herself, while other numbers represented other locomotives in the same class. Each of the "Royal Scot" engines was named after a different British military regiment.
