SIGNED TWICE BURR, AARON. Autograph Document Signed, twice, a pay order instructing Theophile Casenove in Philadelphia to pay William Buckley, "who will present you this, one thousand dollars." He adds a postscript, "N.B. My name is not known to Mr. Buckley in this transaction." Beneath this he has penned and signed an IOU for the same amount. 1 page, folded 4to sheet with integral address leaf, addressed by Burr; remnants of prior mounting along left edge recto, staining from seal on the terminal page, folds, evenly toned.
