Earlier versions of this Burr-Disturnell map go only as far west as Louisiana. This issue extends as far west as El Paso and the western extent of Texas. This copy is made more interesting by the dozens and dozens of graphite plottings by an early owner. There are additional notes on the pastedowns of the cover which are dated 1853.
