"Am afraid the ice conditions are going to be bad this year and that we won't be able to do much until after the six months' Arctic Night. I guess this is Wilkins' year, as on account of his long distance from the pole, the breaking up of the ice at his base will enable him to start flying in a few days from now. More power to him! We hope that he will take advantage of our offer to land at our base."
With--Wilfred T. Grenfell. Two items: Clipped Signature Typed Letter Signed, inviting Madeleine Curtis to a Metropolitan Opera benefit for the International Grenfell Association. New York, 12 September 1930.
