The Holy Bible, Conteyning the Old Testament, and the New.

London: Imprinted at London by Robert Barker, 1613.

Folio, fourth edition of this translation in folio format, general and New Testament title pages printed within the same elaborate woodcut compartment; calendar printed in red and black; Speed's genealogical tables present; without the map; bound in full late-20th century full dark brown morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, tooled with restraint and housed in custom slipcase, very nicely presented; two minor marginal repaired tears and a tiny instance of minor marginal worming; 15 3/4 x 10 1/2 in.

"The true 1613 folio edition of King James' Bible [is] easily distinguishable from the other large folio editions by its smaller type. [...] The preliminary leaves are set up as in the other large folio editions, but the text is printed in smaller type with 72 instead of 59 lines to the full column." (Herbert; Darlow & Moule). This copy is printed in 72 lines and in it Ruth 3:15 reads: "and she went into the citie."

Darlow and Moule 249; Herbert 322; STC 2226.
