Quarto, stated third Giunta edition, edited by Leonardo Salviati (1540-1589), drawing from 14th century manuscripts in the Tuscan dialect; printer's woodcut device to title page, a nice suite of historiated woodcut initials used throughout the text; leaf with engraved and printed dedication on page 587; bound in later half mottled leather and brown marble-patterned boards, worn; minor worming, mostly to blank margins, minor spotting; old stamps to title page, signature torn from foot of title; 8 1/8 x 6 in.
