First trade edition, signed by the artist in pencil on the title page, with a preface written by Arne Novák, the text consisting of 94 original woodcuts, the first graphic novel ever published by a woman; bound in publisher's cream paper over boards (rebacked, endleaves renwed), small vignette to front board; in the original illustrated dust jacket (repaired on verso restoring spine and joints of jacket), 6 x 4½ in.

[Together with] A small collection of original correspondence and art, including two handwritten postcards (one signed) featuring reproductions of her artwork; and three small signed limited edition woodcuts, each in their original mailing envelope; all correspondence addressed to Raimund Zboril (1919-2011), a printer in Vyskov, the artist's hometown.

Zboril was a member of the Hollar association and occasionally printed for Bochorakova-Dittrichova. The material was obtained from the printer's son-in-law.
