First editions of all parts, comprising two octavo volumes, the first containing the first two parts bound together, the second volume containing the third part only; uniform 19th century full sprinkled calf decorated in gilt by Silani, all edges gilt, housed in custom chemises and red morocco slipcases; ex libris Harold Latham and Henry Greenhill with bookplates; purchased from Quaritch by the present owner in 1974; an attractive set with license leaves and errata leaves present as called for; a few occasional rust holes; 6 1/2 x 4 1/4 in. and 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 in.
