CAMILLE PISSARRO AND GEORGE W. THORNLEY
Petite Bonne de Campagne.

Lithograph printed in brownish black on chine appliqué, circa 1900. 235x200 mm; 9 1/4x8 inches, full margins. Edition of 100. Published by Boussod-Valadon, Paris. A very good impression.

Pissarro likely acted on the advice of Edgar Degas, who had collaborated with Thornley on a suite of lithographs after his drawings (see Reed/Shapiro 25b and lot 136) during the late 1880s, when he decided to create the current work.
