One of approximately only 8 to 10 lifetime impressions in this state, from a total lifetime edition of approximately 15 to 20 in all 6 states (there were also 14 posthumous impressions). Signed, titled and inscribed "3e état--no. 3" in pencil, lower margin. A superb, beautifully printed impression of this extremely scarce, chef d'oeuvre of Impressionist printmaking, with selective wiping, warm plate tone and inky plate edges.
