Lithograph printed in dark, brownish black on tan Ingres appliqué, 1896. 222x148 mm; 8 3/4x6 inches, full margins. One of approximately only 10 lifetime impressions. Signed, titled, and inscribed "Ep. d'état no. 8" in pencil, lower margin. A superb impression of this extremely scarce lithograph.
We have found only 8 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years.
Pissarro had impressions printed on various toned papers in different ink colors, so there are differences within the overall print run for this lithograph. Delteil 175.
