Sale 2375 - Lot 86

Unsold
Estimate: $ 4,000 - $ 6,000
CAMILLE PISSARRO and GEORGE W. THORNLEY
Petite Bonne Flamande.

Lithograph printed in dark brown on Chine appliqué, circa 1900. 235x200 mm; 8 1/4x8 inches, full margins. Edition of 25. Signed by both Pissarro and Thornley in pencil, lower margin. Published by Boussod-Valadon, Paris. A very good impression.

Pissarro likely acted on the advice of Edgar Degas, who had collaborated with Thornley on a suite of lithographs after his drawings (see lot 64 and Reed/Shapiro 25b) during the late 1880s, when he decided to create the current work.
