WATKINS (1829-1916) Group of approximately 130 stereo views with Watkins' Pacific Coast and Pacific Railroad imprints, comprising images of hydraulic mining, the San Fernando Tunnel, the bridge over the Truckee River, San Francisco, Sonoma, Napa, and Montere, and more than 100 views of the Yosemite Valley, including several with figures (such as the series "On the way to the Geysers"). Albumen prints, each of the images measuring 3 1/4x3 inches (8.3x7.6 cm.), the mounts 3 1/2x7 inches (8.9x17.8 cm.), with Watkins' series imprints, addresses, captions, and credits on mount recto. 1861-70s
