Additional Details

ALS, 8vo, sheet, recto only, usual folds, on his stationery. Feb. 21st, 1937. An optimistic letter to Sullivan despite a recent accident: "In my own study working on a new novel, [when] I fell and broke my left hip. It's all over now. The doctors, after substituting a steel bone for the original to avoid lengthy traction in a plaster case, sent me home last Saturday. I can get about fairly well on a light metal framework called a 'walker.' And I shall be back at the typewriter in a day or two." The 15 Typed Letters Signed (with initials) date from 1970-1976, also on Carr's private stationery. Included are 5 TLSs to Nelson Bond, regarding Bond's attempts to produce a theatrical treatment from one of Carr's books. Ephemera further to this includes several photocopies of the previous letters and a Western Union Telegram from Carr to Sullivan.
