From Robert Schoelkopf Gallery, New York; to the collection of John Yang in 1969; by descent to the present owner.
Yang (1933-2009) practiced architecture in Manhattan during the 1960s and 70s and, in the following decade became a full-time photographer. He created lyrical photographs that are 'a meditation on morality, memory, the urban landscape, and the photographic process.' His book, Mt. Zion: Sepulchral Portraits, was published by D.A.P., in 2001.
