Archive of 17 postcards, each with an Autograph Note Signed, "Caruso," "ECaruso," "Carusetto," "Scatola" or "Scatolina" [nicknames for himself or his larynx], to Sybil Seligman, in Italian and English, including two showing a portrait of Caruso, mostly sending greetings, from Milwaukee, Florence, Viareggio, Baltimore, Pittsburg, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Frankfurt, Signa, or elsewhere. Each 12mo; one with nearly complete tear affecting text and scattered abrasions and folds, most with cancelled postage stamp. Vp, 1907-16

Sybil Beddington Seligman (1868-1936) was the daughter of Samuel Henry Beddington, a wealthy London merchant; she formed sometimes close relationships with several notable authors and musicians, including Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Giacomo Puccini, and Caruso.
