Small archive of 8 postcards, each with an Autograph Note Signed, "ECaruso" or "Caruso," to Pasquale Simonelli or his brother Giovanni, in Italian, mostly sending greetings, including 5 showing views of Prague sent on the same day and three showing portraits of Native Americans sent over the course of three days, written in the blank margins below or to side of the image, signed diagonally at upper right or at end of text, addressed in his hand on verso. Each 12mo or oblong 12mo; three with loss to one or more corners affecting a few letters of text or last letter of signature. Prague or Boston, 1904-05

5 May 1904: roman numeral written at upper left of each indicating sequence [postcard "II" is missing], discussing his theatrical success, describing the enthusiasm of the Germans who interrupted the last act in the frenzy [Caruso had performed as the Duke in Rigoletto at the Landestheater (State Opera) the previous night].
7-9 March 1905: mentioning stunning success and praising reviews despite suffering [from the mumps; Caruso had performed as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor on the 6th, and as Canio in Pagliacci on the 7th].
