FIRST HILDESHEIM MISSAL Missale Hildensemense. 140 (of 354) leaves, around a third of them disjunct, including 2 from the Canon of the Mass printed on vellum. Gothic type. Text and music printed in red and black. Woodcut decorated initials on leaves 12, 161, 162, and with hand-coloring on the 2 Canon leaves. Folio, 355x252 mm, disbound and completely loose; scattered marginal stains, few marginal repairs not affecting text or music, one Canon leaf heavily soiled in margin, text for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception added in early manuscript on recto and verso of leaf 174; knotted thong fore-edge tabs affixed to 13 leaves.
