Cazeneuve was a noted magician and mentalist in the second half of the 19th century. He also authored "A la cour de Madagascar," a memoir of his personal and diplomatic life. He performed predominantly in Europe but also performed in the United States, impressing and influencing those who saw him. Cazeneuve was assisted on stage by his niece, Reine de Solange.
