A fine tribute to Cain. Jean Porcher, honorary chief conservator of the National Library, created the plan of this work. After his sudden death on April 26, 1966, the work was completed by Andre Masson, inspector general for the libraries. The Chagall lithograph is titled "Hommage to Julien Cain" (Mourlot 487).<
