The holograph lines: "Since having this typed, I have stupidly gone & broken my right arm in two places during a polo game! I have lots of people with endless suggestions as to healing techniques!"
In June of 1990, Charles's polo match in Cirencester was interrupted when he fell from his horse, fracturing his arm. Despite public concern about his health and recommendations that he give up the game, Charles continued to participate in polo matches until 2005.
William B. Wilson (1914-1997) was an American oil and gas executive and U.S. polo champion who served for three years as governor of the United States Polo Association beginning in 1969.
