Very little is known about Lapierre, but Léon Deschamps commissioned him to design this poster in 1895. "In addition to the unlikelihood of the situation - a woman naked from the waist up leafing through prints - one can also be astonished at the presence, on the back wall, of strange sneering demons" (Salon des Cent p. 66).
