Loupot was one of the leaders of the French Art Deco School of graphic design. He is commonly associated with his colleagues A. M. Cassandre, Jean Carlu and Paul Colin. Loupot was the only one to use metallic inks in his work; gold in O Cap and silver in this image. Zagrodski refers to this image as "an exceptional purist design" (Zagrodski p. 77). this is the only known copy in this billboard size format.
