Condition B: replaced losses at edges; repaired tears, creases, minor restored losses and restoration at edges, in image and along vertical and horizontal folds.
Loupot moved to Paris in 1923 where he became one of the leaders of the French Art Deco school of graphic design. He is commonly associated with his colleagues A.M. Cassandre, Jean Carlu and Paul Colin. He designed many posters for this paint company, creating the harlequin-like figure as a mascot. This particular image is rare; we could find only three other copies at auction since 1996. Loupot 84A, Loupot / Musee de l'Affiche 42.
