Additional Details

An early strip featuring Charlie Brown and Patty (not to be confused with Peppermint Patty, who wouldn't be introduced by Schulz until years later). Patty was the only female character in the strip's earliest days, and the two characters appeared together in the first Peanuts strip. She would be seen less frequently in the ensuing years, making her last official appearance on April 11, 1976. A well-known example of Schulz's work with its evocative display of Mid-Century Modern decor in the last panel. Published in The Complete Peanuts, 1953-1954 (Fantagraphics, p.26).
