Etching printed in dark brown, 1974. 255x412 mm; 10 1/416 1/4 inches, full margins. Artist's proof, one of approximately 10, aside from an undetermined edition. Signed, titled, dated and inscribed "Artist's Proof" in pencil, lower margin. A very good, dark impression of this scarce print.
According to Lucinda Gedeon, this print was commissioned by Die Junge Welt, a periodical published in Berlin. An unrecorded number of artist's proofs were pulled in the U.S. before the plate was sent to Germany - some were printed in black and others in brown. This is the last etching recorded in a signed edition by the artist. Gedeon Ec12.
