This lot and the previous lot are extremely scarce examples of oil monotype by Charles White - the first to ever to come to auction. Other known examples of these intimate portraits from the period include Kitchen Debutantes, watercolor, circa 1939, and The Mirror, oil on canvas, circa 1940.
