press copy-numbered 8 for susan cheever from an edition of only 90 and with a Typed Letter Signed by printer Richard-Gabriel Rummonds presenting her with this copy and mentioning that Brendan Gill (who brought Cheever and Rummonds together for the project) would help facilitate a National Public Radio spot for the work. 1 page, 8vo, on Ex Ophidia letterhead. 10 August 1986. Cheever died before he could edit these excerpts which are printed here with only very few corrections from his original drafts. Susan Cheever saw it through publication for her father.
