Steinlen must have been as content to do a poster for a veterinarian as he was for the production of L'Assommoir<>. He shows an elegant animal lover and protector, leaning against a wall surrounded by adoring cats and dogs. The wall is used to present the text, in a similar space organization method to the one he created for L'Assommoir<>.
