This atlas was published in New York between 1856 and 1859. It was republished in 1857 by Arthur B. Griswold in New Orleans under the title "The World in Miniature." The copy here appears to be the last New York edition, with imprint on verso of title page: "Revised to January 1, 1859." The map of the United States shows now the proposed Territory of Arizona in the southern part of New Mexico. However, the separate map of Utah and New Mexico is not updated and does not show Arizona. Not in Rumsey.
